This political model is also used by Nick Land to explain contemporary politics, where the first state (the "Theocrats", which order society toward moral aims, toward "utopia") have descended into what they call "the Cathedral"; which N. Land considers "hyper-calvinist", identified as the left of the triangular model. Thereby, the left is unipolar and converges to a single point; while the right (identified by N.
