Milk Tea Alliance is a decentralized online democracy and human rights movement in [[File:Cball-HongKong.png]] Hong Kong, [[File:Cball-Taiwan.png]] Republic of China (Taiwan) (Boba), [[File:Cball-Myanmar.png]] Myanmar (Burmese lahpet), [[File:Thailand.png]] Thailand (Thai Tea) and occasionally [[File:Cball-India.png]] India. It initially started as an internet meme dedicated to purely opposing [[File:Dengf.png]] [[Dengism]] before moving on to opposing all authoritarian leaders and ideologies in the aforementioned areas, which later included countries that share a similar national drink (tea), such as [[File:Cball-Philippines.png]] Philippines, [[File:Cball-Malaysia.png]] Malaysia (Teh Tarik), [[File:Cball-Indonesia.png]] Indonesia, [[File:Cball-Belarus-old.png]] Belarus (Ryazhenka) and [[File:Cball-Iran.png]] Iran (Chai), although they are not considered as canon countries or their movements are not significant in these regions. The Diplomat describes the Milk Tea Alliance, despite it not being institutionalized, as a pro-democracy alternative to ASEAN.
