LeVeyan Satanism is mainly focused on being contradictory to Abrahamic religions, especially Christianity. In general, LaVeyan Satanism advocates doing whatever makes one happy, as long as it does not infringe upon the rights of other people. LaVey twists The Golden rule "do unto to others as they do to you". Satanism advocates participating in the Seven Deadly Sins for, on the basis that they all lead to personal pleasure. Selfishness is also advocated by LaVeyan Satanism, which states that doing something to help another will in turn make one happy.

LaVeyan Satanism also advocates favorable treatment to those who treat one kindly, and poor treatment of those who treat one badly, essentially "Do unto others as they do unto you." In general, LaVeyan Satanism opposes hurting others, and suggests placing a symbolic "curse" those who do. LaVeyan Satanism opposes hurting or killing animals(except for defense or food) or children, as they are pure carnal beings and considered to be sacred. LaVeyan Satanism opposes suicide, but support volutary euthanasia(in extreme cases).

LeVeyan Satanism is described by its founder as "just [[Objectivism|Ayn Rand's]] [[File:Obj.png]] philosophy with ceremony and ritual added".

I. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!

II. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!

III. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!

IV. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!

V.Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!

VI. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!

VII. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!

VIII. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!

IX. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!

Greater magic rituals involved serve to concentrate emotional energy, allowing practitioners to harness this energy for specific goals or desires. Chanting, dancing, and other forms of expression to enhance the effectiveness of Greater Magic rituals.

'''Lesser Magic''' is manipulation through applied psychology. It involves using charm, persuasion, and social skills to influence others and situations directly. Lesser Magic is often referred to as "every day" or "situational" magic. It focuses on immediate effects in social interactions rather than broader ritualistic outcomes. Lesser Magic uses body language, scent, color, and psychological tactics to attract attention and manipulate perceptions in practice. In 1971, Anton LaVey wrote 'The Satanic Witch' which expanded the concept of Lesser Magic.
