Trujillismo is a totalitarian ideology based of the legacy of Rafael Trujillo's dictatorship over the Dominican Republic. The key characteristics of Trujillismo would be extreme nationalism and anti-Haitianism with centralized power and repression in order to "whiten" the nation. Trujillismo would also focus heavily on improving infrastructure, and modernization. Trujillismo would also ensure that the more loyal you were to the nation, you would be rewarded with economic favors. It follows an idea that Trujillo was the protector and the father over the Dominican Republic. It is also still relevant today with "Trujillo loyalists" influencing the Dominican Republic's politics and society.
