Yeah that’s right, I’m leaving PCB and all online political communities. Forever. It is full of immature fucks, political edgelords who wouldn’t last a day in whatever bullshit they advocate for, and other inconveniences generally speaking. Plus I’m starting college this upcoming year so I don’t have time for this. As for the aforementioned edgelords they either 1: suck off some of the worst tyrants in history (ex: Hitler or Stalin) or 2: (the “better” scenario, which still sucks ass) get their sources from political streamers like Vaush or Hasan Piker, etc. and this point is more me-specific but it’s for the betterment of my mental health. And considering how several people I hold dear would be killed or at least have their mere existences in jeopardy by a sizable chunk of the user base for the color of their skin or their sexual orientation, why should I interact with, let alone associate with, this community?
To anyone who has already left, I wholeheartedly support your judgement and decisions
To anyone who’s sane, I advise leaving this dumpster fire. Several people who were initially decent have become batshit insane because of this community. Seriously you all deserve way better than this. To those who are sane and decide to stay, I seriously pray that you all don’t fall into the trap of political edginess, but you’re still shooting your self in the foot and going against your own interests if you stay in this hellhole
Lastly, to all the political edgelords, go outside and get a job or something. I genuinely wonder how people here don’t die of cringe writing some of the shit they write.
P.S.: admittedly I’m not this “innocent angel” either, I had plenty of edgy moments and cringe moments as well, including an alt-lite phase. But at least I eventually came to my senses and gradually escaped it (ofc with the help of some friends but still), whereas the political edgelords that are still like that decide to stay like this and generally speaking I have almost no faith in them.

1 month later: my views on SocDem (I still oppose most of them, but the more File:LeftSocdem.png left-wing populist variants are good) have moderated. Anyways, this will probably be the single biggest fuck you I have given to any entity, so here, we, go.:
online politics, but especially PCB, have been a disaster. I have gotten so close to people who I should have have avoided as much as possible, and I feel genuinely ashamed for that, and I feel like I have forsaken my (true) friends, and even my family to a lesser extent. And whenever they’re not wanting to kill people for the color of their skin or who they love, they’ll be either simping for some of the worst people in history, justifying or denying their crimes, and/or be giving into intersectional idpol. At best we have manchildren and debate bros. Besides, the average civilian would die of cringe seeing any given self insert, “oh I’m an esofash nazbol leftcom anprim” pls stfu. I disagree with my parents beliefs (particularly my File:Confem.png mom’s), but they were right to tell me to avoid people who follow such ideologies. До Свидания.

Economics

I support a decentralized, mixed market economy consisting of worker cooperatives in which the workers own the means of production, in addition to wealth and land redistribution and heavy trust busting. There will be collectives of worker co-ops in each sector, particularly more important sectors

Social

Idc for most social views so long as you aren’t a complete nut on either side or a culture warrior, but basically I support equality and tolerance for all regardless of race, religion, gender, sexuality, etc. in addition to technological advancement, while also supporting (good) traditions and opposing permissive society

Foreign

I love my nation but also support international cooperation, I am non-interventionist and skeptical of most if not all military alliances

Government

I support a democratic republic, free speech, constitutionalism, rule of law, separation of powers, and checks and balances.
