Another example of revolutionary nationalism in the Americas is the regime of [[File:JuanVelasco.png]] [[Left-Wing Nationalism|Juan Velasco Alvarado]] in [[File:Cball-Peru.png]] Peru, which lasted from 1968 to 1975.
Velasco saw the coup he led as part of a national revolution that would secure Peru's indepence. He was later overthrown by his prime minister [[File:MoralesBermúdez.png]] [[State Capitalism|Francisco Morales Bermúdez]].
