Kritarchy or Kritocracy is a system of government in which power is mainly held by judges. Historically, it has been implemented in places like Israel under the rule of biblical judges. They believed that the government should be run partially by judges to control law and order.

History

The first recorded instance of a Kritarchy took place in about 14th century BC in Israel. Judges would settle disputes and legal matters based on interpretations of the old Testament. These judges would also act as military leaders in times of need.

During the 10th to 13th century, a Kritarchal system existed in the Icelandic Commonwealth. In this case the judges acted as mediators instead of direct rulers. These judges were some of the first to recognize crimes against individuals and not against the state as well as only punishing people in the form of large monetary fees.

Another example of Kritarchal organization existed in the Frisian Freedom period from the early 12th to the late 15th century, although it may have deteriorated significantly over time. In Frisia, local judges known as Redjeven were elected every year by the land-owning population of the local districts. They interpreted their rulings based on multiple different legal and theological texts, prominently including the Bible and the Charlemagne-era Lex Frisionum, the later possibly being falsified in multiple instances.

Personality

For the historical and modern use of the term, Kritarchy acts like a judge and always settles in court cases as a judge and sentences the balls (like anarchists) that commit crimes in the polcompball world either innocent or guilty, but most likely guilty.

• Girkinism - I didn't expect you to be so fanatical that even your own government had to convict you. Well, once you complete your stint at home, the Hague awaits.
• Chun Doo-hwan, Roh Tae-woo, Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye - Corruption convictions go brrr.
